In second opinion studies, we assess the credibility and feasibility of projects. Investment projects
We offer services for all phases of investment projects, from initial concept design to turnkey deliveries. During the concept phase, we assess the overall attractiveness of the investment and conduct a technical and financial assessment of the project. As the project progresses, we develop the selected concept in collaboration with various experts. Our services also include project management, scheduling and cost monitoring, procurement services and expert construction services. Our role can vary depending on the investment implementation model from EPCM to Owner’s Engineering.

Production equipment and lines
We serve technology suppliers and manufacturing industries by designing production equipment and lines for both pilot and commercial production volumes. Our strength is our long experience in the forest and chemical industries, and we have applied these competencies to develop the production of innovative bio-based products in, for example, the textile, packaging and construction materials sectors.

Production development
The goal of production development can be, for example, to maximize production, eliminate bottlenecks, optimize production costs, secure the plant, and improve product quality and plant availability with minimal investment. Our projects can also focus on specific themes, such as energy efficiency or maintenance. We can utilize our simulation expertise in our analyses, which allows us to assess the capacity of the equipment and process conditions.

Elomatic developed an efficient production line for Aisti’s ecological acoustic tiles
Aisti needed a partner to design the production line for the new acoustic tile factory and was convinced by Elomatic’s expertise. The commercial-scale factory will be built in Kitee, Finland where production is scheduled to start in 2025. With an annual production capacity of 2.5 million square meters, Aisti is aiming for a 15 % market share in the Nordic countries.
Elomatic developed production line for VTT’s bio-based film
VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has developed a transparent cellulose film that offers a more climate-friendly solution as a packaging material than plastic. The bio-based film helps solve many of the challenges related to plastic. Developing the solution would not have been possible without Elomatic’s expertise: we implemented the pilot production line necessary for manufacturing the renewable film.
Elomatic involved in developing innovative Fold technology for bio-based materials
The Fold project involved a multidisciplinary research team where mathematics, art, and design merged with material science, simulation, and mechanical engineering. Elomatic’s role in the first phase of the project was to develop a production line for the fold-material. Additionally, Elomatic, in collaboration with VTT, developed an industrial-scale pilot device for the material.
