Side streams and products from other production sectors can be utilized in food production processes. This requires compliance with regulatory requirements in the production processes, storage and distribution of these materials.

Our competencies in regulated production sectors, including food industry standards and hygiene requirements (Food GMP, EHEDG, PCR), ensure that all responsibilities are met.

Safety and risk management are a key component of our competencies. In our projects, we ensure not only product safety but also the safety of production facilities, the environment and people, including safe operations during the construction and production phases. We are experts in chemical safety, as well as ATEX, PED and CE requirements

Process design

We help you manage the entire production process, from raw materials to the finished product.

We have extensive competencies in a wide range of production processes, unit operations and raw material properties. We are experts in utility systems, CIP cleaning systems, refrigeration and cold storage systems, and aseptic cleanroom processes (BSL, GMO).

Our competencies include capacity calculations, process and chemical reaction modelling, and process and equipment sizing. We focus on resource efficiency in the use of materials, energy and water, and the development of production automation.

We are also experts in product-contact materials and the complete production chain, from delivery and sampling through pre-treatment, processing, post-treatment, filling, packaging, and warehousing.

Technology and suppliers

Our experience from a wide range of production industries ensures that we can help you find the right technology solutions for your production, taking into account any special requirements for materials, structures and production facilities.

Our long experience in the food, pharmaceutical, bio and chemical industry technologies helps us identify the most suitable technology solutions for different needs. We evaluate technologies and best practices (BAT) and design production scaling for startup operators.

Our special expertise includes HVAC design for production facilities, aseptic requirements for materials, equipment and components, and the prevention of cross-contamination in material and personnel flow paths. Thanks to our extensive supplier network, we can also offer used and recycled equipment, thereby implementing a circular economy also in terms of production technology.

Project development and plant investments

We act as your partner from the first steps of the investment to the implementation and commissioning of the project.

Our services include concept and project development, preliminary and basic design, implementation design, procurement, construction and site management, and commissioning. Together with our subsidiary Elron, we also offer financial and technical consulting for project development.

Our competencies are based on solid experience in process and plant design, production machinery and equipment, and project management. In addition to plant and process design, our design services cover HVAC and building design, industrial electrical, instrumentation and automation design, and digital solutions.

Elomatic implemented a new heat pump system for Valio’s Seinäjoki plant – utilizes waste heat and brings significant savings

A heat pump system was implemented at Valio’s Seinäjoki plant to capture waste energy streams from factory processes using four new heat pumps. The new, more energy-efficient system aims to achieve annual heating savings of 12–14%.
