Elomatic partners with Origin by Ocean to engineer a groundbreaking algae biorefinery
Origin by Ocean has chosen Elomatic as its partner for the basic engineering phase of its First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) facility in Finland. Origin by Ocean’s mission is to transform one of today’s most pressing environmental challenges – the overgrowth of marine algae – into a major opportunity by producing bio-based chemicals that support the transition toward a more sustainable chemical industry.
This milestone marks a significant step in Origin by Ocean’s journey toward industrializing its algae-based biorefinery platform and scaling sustainable chemical production in the EU. Basic engineering is a crucial phase that transforms the company’s process into a construction-ready design, ensuring disciplined project execution and long-term performance.
